2. USE 20 TO 24 GAUGE WIRE STRIPPED 1/8” AND TIN ENDS WITH SOLDER
3. NOTE: TELEPHONE WIRE WORKS FINE AND IS INEXPENSIVE. PLACE THE BARE WIRE END OVER THE WIRE PAD AND HEAT WITH SOLDER IRON TILL THERE IS A SMOOTH FLOW BETWEEN WIRE AND PAD.
4. CONNECT THE POWER GROUND TO POWER SUPPLY NEGATIVE
5. CONNECT THE POWER POSITIVE TO A 10 TO 15 VOLT SUPPLY 100 MA MINIMUM
6. CONNECT THE INPUT POSITIVE TO THE + INPUT SENSOR OR THE + VOLTAGE TO BE MEASURED.
7. CONNECT THE INPUT GROUND DIRECTLY TO THE SENSOR GROUND OR THE – VOLTAGE TO BE MEASURED.
TO AVOID DC OFFSET ERRORS: WHEN NO SENSITIVITY JUMPERS ARE USED (IE: 199.9MV OR DC AMPS SHUNT THEN IT IS ADVISABLE TO USE SHIELDED CABLE FOR THE INPUTS (STEPS 6 AND 7) WITH THE SHIELD TO THE NEGATIVE INPUT. ALSO KEEP THESE LEADS AS SHORT AS POSSIBLE.
8. TO SOLDER THE JUMPERS, KEEP ADDING SOLDER UNTIL THE TWO PADS HAVE A SOLDER BRIDGE BETWEEN THEM.
